{"id":3269,"date":"2015-02-05T23:36:59","date_gmt":"2015-02-05T23:36:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.knowledgement.ie\/?p=3269"},"modified":"2015-02-05T23:36:59","modified_gmt":"2015-02-05T23:36:59","slug":"managing-fixedrolling-memberships-of-an-association-in-openerpodoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/en_gb\/managing-fixedrolling-memberships-of-an-association-in-openerpodoo\/","title":{"rendered":"Managing Fixed\/Rolling Memberships of an Association in OpenERP\/Odoo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is a module called &#8220;Association Management&#8221; in Odoo which allows user to manage all operations for managing memberships.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"dpd\">It supports different kind of members:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Free member<\/li>\n<li>Associated member (e.g.: a group subscribes to a membership for all subsidiaries)<\/li>\n<li>Paid members<\/li>\n<li>Special member prices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is integrated with sales and accounting to allow user\u00a0to automatically invoice and send propositions for membership renewal.<\/p>\n<p>Target Integration have created customized module called <strong>&#8220;Recreate Customization&#8221;<\/strong> which can help you managing memberships of an Association in Odoo and provide more facility for membership to the customer.\u00a0Initially in Openerp, membership is of fixed\u00a0dates defines in particular membership product.\u00a0In this type of membership the problem is that if customer buys that membership in between the<br \/>\nduration dates then he\/she will get less time of membership as the start date and end date are fixed so on the end date the membership will be expired. To overcome this problem\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Recreate Customization&#8221;<\/strong> module is customized. This module will provide two types of membership for membership products: Fixed and Rolling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic1.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3324\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic1-300x167.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic1\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To solve the above problem Target Integration created &#8220;Recreate Customization&#8221; module.This module will provide options of membership type for particular membership product.\u00a0To use this module we need to install it in our OpenErp 7.0.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3326\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic2-300x171.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic2\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This module will provide two href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3328\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic4-300x166.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic4\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If Rolling type is selected, then another option of rolling duration will be displayed with following options<br \/>\n1) 1 Month \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 2) 3 Month<br \/>\n3) 6 Month \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a04) 1 Year<br \/>\nwhere user needs\u00a0to select the duration for the membership product.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3329\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic5-300x166.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic5\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Those options will decide the duration of particular membership product. i.e if one selects 6 months for says \u201ctest\u201c membership product then for that membership product membership duration will be of 6 months.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic6.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3330\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic6-300x166.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic6\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, go to the\u00a0Customer window and open the customer for which you want to buy membership<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3331\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic7-300x166.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic7\" width=\"300\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After selecting the membership type\u00a0when user will click on \u201cBuy Membership\u201d the wizard will be open which will ask for which membership product you want to buy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic8.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3332\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic8-300x176.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic8\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the above screenshot, the selected membership is of fixed type and hence the start date and end date\u00a0are those which were defined in membership product.\u00a0If the selected membership is of rolling type then by default start date will be current date<br \/>\nand end date will be calculated from the \u201cRolling Duration\u201d of membership product as shown.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3333\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic9-300x167.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic9\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In rolling membership type if customer wants to change start date it can be done and\u00a0according to that changed date new end date will be calculated.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic10.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3334\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic10-300x169.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic10\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After changing the start date in invoice membership, the selected membership will be displayed in the membership tab of Customer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3335\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic11-300x167.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic11\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This membership will be in draft state until the customer registers the payment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3336\" src=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic12-300x167.png\" alt=\"MembershipPic12\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After validating the invoice, the customer will register payment for that particular\u00a0membership.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/targetintegration.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/MembershipPic13.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3337\"
