Accounting Manager

Job Description

  • Leading and managing a team of payroll managers, bookkeepers, management accountants, and trainee accountants.
  • Ongoing learning, training, and personal development
  • Working towards individual and team targets/ key performance indicators
  • Managing monthly billing, allocation of resources, and profitability per client
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts for external accountants
  • Assisting with any client queries
  • Advising clients on accounting systems and controls
  • Constantly reviewing the processes within the firm to achieve best practices and efficiencies
  • Developing prospects (referrals, networking, and so on)
  • Building long-term relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
  • Face-to-face sales and customer meetings
  • Providing “wow factor” customer service
