We’re Heading to the Odoo Business Show in Birmingham: Here’s What We Want to Talk About

On 9 June, the Odoo Business Show comes to the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham, and we will be there as sponsors. If you are a manufacturer, distributor or food and drink business in the region (or anywhere in the UK) this is worth an evening of your time.

Here is what we are planning to focus on, and why we think it matters right now.

The Digital Gap Is Real and It Is Getting Wider

Earlier this year, the UK Government published its AI Adoption Research through the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. The headline finding was striking only 16% of UK businesses are currently using AI, and 80% have no plans to adopt it at all. The OECD followed in February with its own data, showing that just 10.6% of European manufacturing enterprises have adopted AI placing manufacturing among the least digitally advanced sectors in the economy.

We work with manufacturers and food and drink businesses every day. These numbers are not a surprise to us, but they are a reminder of the scale of the opportunity and the risk of standing still.

The barriers the reports identify are the same ones we hear in conversations with business owners week in, week out: uncertainty about where to start, concern about the cost, and questions about whether the return on investment will be there. Those are fair concerns. They are also exactly the kinds of questions we are good at helping people think through.

What Odoo 19 Means for Manufacturers and Food & Drink Businesses

The Business Show will feature live demonstrations of Odoo 19 across manufacturing, inventory, accounting, CRM, and eCommerce. It is a strong platform showcase, and worth attending in its own right.

What we can add to that conversation is sector context. Seeing a production planning module demonstrated is one thing. Understanding how it maps to your Bill of Materials, your batch traceability requirements, your quality checkpoints, or your BRCGS audit obligations is another. That translation, from software capability to operational reality, is where we spend most of our time.

We will be at the event ready to have those conversations. No slides, no sales pitch. Just a genuine discussion about where your business is, where you want it to be, and what the realistic path looks like.

We are also offering complimentary Digital Health Checks on the day: a focused, one-to-one session with one of our consultants to help you identify where ERP and AI can deliver the fastest returns for your specific operation. If you would like to reserve a slot in advance, get in touch before the event and we will set it up.

Customer Spotlight: Lumeter’s Digital Transformation Journey

Rohit Thakral, CEO of Target Integration, will also be speaking at the event as part of the customer speaker slot alongside Luke Jimenez, Business Development Manager from Lumeter.

The session will offer a real-world look at Odoo adoption, digital transformation, and how businesses can move from operational challenges to practical, working solutions. Rohit and Luke will discuss Lumeter’s digital transformation journey, sharing valuable insights for businesses that are considering ERP, planning a digital transformation project, or already working through the process.

For anyone looking to understand what successful ERP adoption looks like beyond the software demo, this will be a valuable opportunity to hear the journey in practice, not just in theory.

Come and Find Us

The formal programme runs from 4pm to 6pm, with networking from 6pm to 7pm. We will be around throughout.

If you would like to set aside time for a proper conversation rather than a chance encounter, get in touch before the event and we will make it happen.

Registration is free.
