How to Install the NFC Tools App

  • 1. Navigate to the App Store or Play Store: Open the App Store (for iOS devices) or Play Store (for Android devices) on your mobile device. In this example, we are using the App Store on an iPhone.
  • 2. Search for the App: Type "NFC Tools" in the search bar and select the first result.
  • 3. Download the App: Tap the download button to install the NFC Tools app.
  • 4. Open the App: Once installed, open the NFC Tools app.

Getting Started with NFC Tools

The home screen of the NFC Tools app offers several options:

  • •Read: Read an NFC tag.
  • •Write: Write data to an NFC tag.
  • •Other: Access additional features.
  • •Saved Tags: Manage saved NFC tags.

Using the "Read" Option

  • 1.Select the Read option.
  • 2. Your device’s built-in NFC reader will activate.
  • 3. Hold your device close to the NFC tag until a visual prompt (usually a checkmark) appears on your screen.
  • 4.The tag's current link or data will then be displayed.

Using the "Write" Option

  • 1. Select the Write option to edit the data on your NFC tag..
  • 2. Tap the Add a record button to choose the type of information you want the tag to point to.
  • 3. After selecting the desired data type, tap the Write button.
  • 4. Your device’s NFC reader will activate. Hold your device close to the NFC tag to apply the new data.

Available Data Types:

  • URL: Link to a webpage.
  • Social Network: Direct users to social media profiles like Facebook or LinkedIn.
  • Contact: Share contact details and phone numbers.
  • Network: Set up quick access to Wi-Fi.

Verifying the Tag

To ensure the data was applied correctly:

  • 1. Return to the home screen and select the Read option.
  • 2. Check that the updated data appears as expected.
